A Brief History. BroadNet Services opened its doors on January 13th 2001. It was created out of a response to the need to provide affordable, high-tech, internet training to those who have an interest in the information technology sector or for those simply trying to upgrade their skills. The principal teachers, Mr. Eben Amu and Mr. Craig Phillip, have a combined 15 years of extensive technical teaching experience. Mr. Amu is the coordinator and instructor of the first Cisco Networking Academy in the Alternative School District at East New York Family Academy located in Brooklyn. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is a NYS certified HS Mathematics teacher who has obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification and the Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI) credentials. In addition he has received his Master's degree in Math Education. Mr. Craig Phillip holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. He is a fully licensed NYS and NYC JHS-HS Mathematics teacher. He holds the following technical certifications: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer ( MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
